April is finally here!  It is the time of year for children to go outside and enjoy the warmer weather.  Please take your children out for walks, play on the playground, and play games around the building as part of their educational day.  Play is an important part of a child's education.  Please remember to have your child wear sneakers so she/he has a safe experience outside....read more.
 

¡Abril está finalmente aquí! Es la época del año para que los niños vayan afuera y disfruten del tiempo cálido. Por favor, lleve a sus niños a pasear, jugar en el patio de recreo, y jugar alrededor del edificio como parte de su día de educación. El juego es una parte importante de la educación de un niño.   • Special Olympics Track Time Trial Event – Volunteers Needed!

    Our Special Olympics Track Time Trial Event returns to Peekskill for 2017 and we need 200 volunteers to help make this year a success! Please fill out this electronic form if you would like to volunteer.

    Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Torpy Field
    Free t-shirts to those who sign up to volunteer. Community service credit available for students who need it.

  • Uriah Hill Students Visit Westchester Children's Museum

    Pre-K students in Ms. Boyle’s Uriah Hill class recently enjoyed a visit to the Westchester Children's Museum in Rye, NY. While there, students participated in a day of hands on science exhibits. They were able to play in a wind tunnel, build a roller coaster and make an architectural building with wooden blocks.

  • Dental Health Awareness Celebrated at Uriah Hill

    To celebrate February being Dental Health Awareness Month, students at Uriah Hill Elementary recently enjoyed a visit from local dentist, Dr. Martinez. The students learned about how to brush their teeth by practicing on stuffed animals and each student was given a goody bag containing a new tooth brush, toothpaste and floss.
